Indian actor Irrfan Khan died at the age of 54 on Wednesday morning while undergoing treatment. Irfan, who was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday due to health problems, died on Wednesday, The Hindustan Times reported.
Sujit Sarkar, the producer/director of Irfan ‘Piku’ has also confirmed the news of his death through a tweet.

On Tuesday, Irfan’s family did not provide any official information. However, a spokesman for Irfan confirmed that he had been hospitalized. “Yes, Irrfan Khan has been admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai,” he said. He has a colon infection. Irrfan Khan was suffering from a neuroendocrine tumor. He was undergoing treatment in London. In March 2018, he tweeted that he had contracted the disease.
